“It is with great sadness that we report that three passengers from the Costa Fascinosa are among the victims of this horrific and terrifying attack in Tunisia. Eight other passengers are injured, and two are still missing. We express our strongest condemnation of this attack on democracy in Tunisia. Our deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families. We share their grief. Our team in Tunisia is caring for the companions of the victims and the eight passengers who are being treated in hospitals. A support team is with our crew and passengers on board. The Costa Fascinosa has now left Tunisia and is at sea. We are in constant contact with the Italian government and Tunisian security authorities, as well as with many other countries. We would like to thank the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its members for their cooperation.”
