The city of Palma de Mallorca will host the Excellence Cruise Awards ceremony for the second year in a row
The city of Palma de Mallorca will once again host the Cruise Excellence Awards ceremony on February 19th at the Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art , under the sponsorship of the Balearic Islands Port Authority and the Palma 365 Foundation. As in previous years, the gala will bring together leading executives from cruise lines, cruise tour operators, shipping agents, Mediterranean ports and destinations, travel agents, press, partners, and other industry suppliers. The Cruise Excellence Awards recognize key players in the industry across 12 different categories. The winners are selected based on a large-scale survey of cruise passengers conducted since last October.
The other sponsors are Delivery Warehouse, Logitravel, Viajes Kontiki, Perlart and the Cruises in the Atlantic Islands association.
The Excellence Cruise Awards, whose first edition was held in 2008, are a brand and product of Cruises News MediaGroup, organizer of the International Cruise Summit in Madrid and publisher of CruisesNews magazine.

Palma's promotion as a cruise destination is supported by the commitment of cruise lines and passengers. Thus, the port and city of Palma closed 2014 with the arrival of 1,336,512 cruise passengers, with a forecast of 1,528,917 passengers for 2015, consolidating its leading position in Spain and the Mediterranean.
