Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest and largest ship, the Norwegian Escape, will offer a wide array of spaces for guests to relax and unwind at sea, beginning in October 2015. Passengers will enjoy a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere at the company’s most innovative Mandara Spa to date, a serene retreat that will house the largest thermal area at sea, complete with the company’s first-ever snow room. In addition to the luxurious spa, adults will have access to two private and exclusive areas: the Vibe Beach Club and Spice H2O,a space featuring a novel waterfall area for cooling off after a long day in the sun. The Norwegian Escape’s Mandara Spa spans two decks and offers a complete relaxation experience with stunning ocean views and the opportunity to lounge on any of the 17 available heated loungers. In addition, this space also provides immediate stress relief thanks to the hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzis, steam room, sauna and salt grotto.
Once guests have warmed up, they can head to the company's first-ever cool and refreshing snow room. This space ranges from -6 to 0 degrees Celsius and emits bursts of powder snow throughout the day. It also offers guests a multitude of health benefits, including improved blood circulation and a strengthened immune system.
In addition to the spectacular thermal area, the Norwegian Escape's Mandara Spa will feature 24 treatment rooms offering more than 50 services for both men and women. Massages such as the Elemis Aroma Spa seaweed massage, facials like the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Quartz Lift Facial, and body wellness treatments like the Exotic Lime & Ginger Salt Glow are just some of the options available on board.
Meanwhile, the Norwegian Escape's beauty salon will ensure guests look their best with a wide range of services, including hairstyling, manicures, waxing, and special services for children. In addition to acupuncture and teeth whitening, licensed medical professionals will offer medical-grade cosmetic treatments such as Botox®Cosmetic , Dysport™, Restylane®, and Perlane®.Passengers will return home toned and with smoother skin thanks to Thermage® CPT, an innovative, non-invasive skin resurfacing therapy that uses radiofrequency to enhance the appearance of skin on the face and body through contour stimulation. A barbershop will also be available in the salon, offering exclusive men's services such as the Elemis Pro-Collagen Grooming treatment with shaving and more.
Fitness enthusiasts looking to stay in shape during their cruise or try an exciting new workout can do so in the Norwegian Escape's state-of-the-art fitness center, equipped with the latest weight training and cardio equipment from Technogym®. All cardio machines are compatible with iPod music devices and feature a large high-definition screen where guests can watch TV, follow a workout program, or browse their iPod playlist. Other fitness options include Pilates, body sculpting classes, yoga, Zumba, and TRX. Boxing fans can also participate in Norwegian's Fight Klub™, a high-intensity cardio boxing class. Personal training sessions, nutritional counseling, and metabolism tests are also available.
The Norwegian Escape will also debut Spice H2OandVibe Beach Club, two outdoor areas dedicated exclusively to adults for enjoying the day in a relaxed atmosphere. Spice H2O,located at the stern of the ship on deck 17, is an adults-only space offering all-day relaxation. Sun loungers are arranged around a large screen, while two hot tubs are available for those seeking to unwind. This area also features a waterfall, an ideal spot to cool off from the warm Caribbean sun and sure to delight guests upon entering this space, which feels like a true exotic escape. At night, Spice H2Otransformsinto an open-air nightclub where all passengers can dance under the stars or enjoy a cocktail at the bar, which includes a lounge area with comfortable seating and stunning ocean views.
Passengers over 18 will have the opportunity to relax in another private area – Vibe Beach Club – by purchasing an access pass. With incredible ocean views, a large jacuzzi, luxurious sun loungers, and a relaxing water fountain, Vibe Beach Club will be the ideal meeting point for adults to unwind in a serene and comfortable space while soaking up the sun. A full-service bar and refreshing towels complete this exclusive experience.
Norwegian Escape
The Norwegian Escape is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany and will sail 7-night cruises from its homeport of Miami in the Eastern Caribbean, beginning November 14, 2015. At 164,600 tons and with a capacity for 4,200 passengers, the Norwegian Escape will be the largest ship to date with a year-round homeport in Miami. Its itinerary will visit tropical Caribbean destinations including St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas. The hull design of the Norwegian Escape was created by Guy Harvey, renowned marine wildlife artist and ocean conservation champion.

The Norwegian Escape's dining and entertainment options are inspired by well-known land-based venues, such as the first-ever floating Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville and Tobacco Road, Miami's oldest and most legendary bar. The Norwegian Escape will also feature the 5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar, an open-air music bar located on The Waterfront, offering live concerts nightly so guests can enjoy the rhythms of the tropics.
