The Port Authority will be present at fairs and events related to fishing, aquaculture, cruises, containers, roro, nautical-sports activity and logistics.
The Port of the Bay of Cádiz will reinforce its strategic commitment to diversifying traffic with its 2015 commercial action plan. To this end, the Port Authority will participate throughout the coming year in trade fairs and events related to fishing, aquaculture, cruises, ro-ro traffic, nautical and sporting activities, containers, and logistics.
In total, eleven trade missions that the APBC undertakes alone or in collaboration with Gades-Port, the Association for the promotion of the Port of the Bay of Cadiz; SunCruise Andalucía, the Association for the promotion of cruise tourism in the region, or State Ports.
The first meeting is in February, in Berlin, where Fruit Logistic, a trade fair specializing in the marketing of fruits and vegetables and considered the most important in the international market,
The Port Authority is participating together with Gades-Port and in collaboration with the Cadiz Chamber of Commerce.
From February 18 to 22, the APBC will visit, for the first time, the Halieutis Salon, held in the Moroccan city of Agadir. This event is dedicated to the maritime fishing, aquaculture, and seafood marketing professions.
As is well known, the port of El Puerto de Santa María has become a first-rate aquaculture cluster and an international benchmark, so the port authority wants to take advantage of events like the one in Agadir to boost this line of business.
In March, from the 16th to the 19th, the APBC will participate for the twentieth consecutive edition through 'Suncruise Andalucía' (the Association for the Promotion of the Andalusian region as a cruise destination) in Seatrade Cruise Shipping Miami, considered the largest and most important trade fair in the sector internationally.
Through Gades-Port, work is already underway in April to organize a reverse trade mission with the Canary Islands, with the aim of boosting ro-ro traffic with the Islands.
In May, the Port Authority will also attend, for the first time, the Palma Boat Show, a specialized exhibition on nautical and sporting activities held from April 30 to May 4 in Palma de Mallorca.
Later in the year, from June 9 to 11, the Port plans to attend TOC Europe 2015 in Rotterdam, which specializes in container traffic and terminals.
After the summer, from September 9 to 11, the APBC will once again promote itself as a cruise destination at Seatrade Europe, which this time is being held in Hamburg, where it is attending with SunCruise Andalucía, Turismo Andaluz and Puertos del Estado.
In October there are two events, both with Gades-Port. From the 6th to the 8th, Conxemar (fishing, in Vigo), and from the 28th to the 30th, Fruit Attraction, in Madrid, for perishable goods logistics (fruit).
Before the end of the year, we also plan to participate again in Madrid at the International Cruise Summit , the date of which is yet to be determined.
The commercial action plan will be completed by participation in Med Ports Casablanca 2015, specializing in logistics.
