The 4th International Cruise Summit brings the world's leading cruise tourism industry to Madrid on November 12th and 13th.
The event will reinforce Spain's role in an industry that continues to grow and will welcome almost 22 million passengers in 2014.
The International Cruise Summit 2014, organized by CruisesNews Media Group, will transform Madrid into the international hub of the cruise industry from November 12th to 13th, attracting key players in the sector to the capital. For two days, they will discuss the current state of an industry that generated €1.23 billion in direct spending in Spain in 2013, representing approximately 7.6% of the industry's total direct spending across Europe.
The opening ceremony will be led by the Madrid City Council and Mr. José Llorca, president of State Ports, will close the congress on the 13th.
The conference will open on the morning of Wednesday the 12th and during these two days the current and future situation, star and emerging destinations, logistics and port operations, infrastructure, communication and press of the sector, trends in cruise ship construction, the profile of passengers and the national and international market will be discussed.
