Nearly 10,000 people have arrived in the city today aboard both cruise ships.
Around 10,000 passengers disembarked in A Coruña today during the massive double stopover by two of the largest ships currently in international fleets. Early this morning, the [ship name missing] arrived at the Calvo Sotelo Sur Wharf from Cádiz.<Azura> with 3,100 passengers and 1,200 crew members. After spending eight hours in the city, it is scheduled to depart for Southampton at 3:30 p.m. The [ship] has an even greater capacity.<Independence of the seas> The ship arrived at the Transatlantic Pier from Madeira at 11:45 a.m. The 3,800 passengers and 1,500 crew members of this maritime giant will remain in the city until 6:30 p.m., when the vessel is scheduled to continue its journey to Southampton.
This massive stopover has generated a great deal of excitement throughout the city center, where from early morning numerous tourists of various nationalities are visiting the most emblematic spots of A Coruña, shopping and enjoying the good weather on the terraces.
