Over the next two weeks, working meetings will be held by activity segments, with the participation of the main stakeholders.
The Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz will begin the development of its new Strategic Plan next Tuesday with the first working meetings by activity segment, to which the main stakeholders are invited.
With the intention of enriching the Strategic Plan with the maximum possible participation of the port, institutional and citizen community, the APBC has convened up to 11 working groups during the next two weeks.
The first meeting will study container traffic (Lo-Lo) with the aim of obtaining a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) of this segment of activity that will allow us to propose objectives and actions for improvement for the next ten years, which is the time horizon contemplated by the plan.
The same procedure will be followed with the rest of the defined activity segments, with the ultimate goal of having a strategic document that allows the Port Authority to successfully face the new challenges of the current situation and develop port, investment and commercial policies that facilitate the achievement of the defined strategic objectives.
In addition to container traffic, the following working groups have been established: ro-ro traffic, cruises, fishing (sales, buyers, shipowners, frozen and aquaculture), recreational boating, solid bulk, liquid bulk, economic and financial, large industries, port services and port and city relations.
A final consultative meeting will also be held with the social and institutional forces of the Bay.
The Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz will have the advice of the joint venture PricewaterhouseCoopers Asesores de Negocios, SL and Teirlog Ingeniería, SL in the preparation of this Strategic Plan and the Commercial Plan of the New Container Terminal.
