Bernardino Copano, CEO of Bernardino Abad, SL, was elected today as president of the Association for the Promotion of the Port of the Bay of Cadiz, Gades-Port, in an extraordinary assembly, in which the new vice president, Rafael Ponce, of the Cadiz Pilots Corporation, was also voted in.
Bernardino Copano replaces Juan Bernal as head of the group since 2007 and Rafael Ponce replaces Albino Pardo, both of whom were relieved of their duties due to their retirement.
Copano thanked the members of Gades-Port who voted for him and expressed his desire to start working as soon as possible, for which he has called a board meeting next week.
The newly elected president also expressed his desire to gain the trust of the association's members, for whom he hopes to develop new ideas that will contribute to the development of port activity in the Bay.
The president of Gades-Port has also invited everyone to collaborate and participate, understanding that progress will only come from joint collaboration, and has thanked the outgoing president for his work in recent years.
Rafael Ponce, for his part, has also called for a united effort and has shown the interest of the group he represents in collaborating with the common cause.
