The Port of the Bay of Cadiz will be present next week at the Seatrade Med Cruise Convention, which is being held from September 16 to 18 in Barcelona, and which the port has attended uninterruptedly since its inauguration ten editions ago.
For the first time, this event, considered the most important in Europe in the sector, is being held in Spain and features the joint presence of the Andalusian ports of general interest through Suncruise Andalucía and Turismo Andaluz.
As is known, Seatrade Med is a biennial and itinerant event, since its inauguration the venue has varied between different Italian cities (Genoa, Venice, Naples), French cities (Cannes and Marseille) and now Spanish cities.
The ports of general interest in Andalusia and Andalusian Tourism will have their own stand where they will show visitors to the exhibition their infrastructure and the main attractions of the region as a tourist and cruise destination.
Taking advantage of the presence of the most important operators in the sector at an international level, SunCruise Andalucía and Turismo Andaluz will present the main lines of what will be their joint action plan with the aim of increasing both the number of stops and passengers arriving in the region and improving the Andalusian offer.
Key strategies include focusing on the "return passenger", leveraging the complementary nature of Andalusia's offerings, positioning some destinations as home ports, and increasing the importance of ports of call.
To this end, cooperation and coordination with airports, as well as with other actors in the cruise tourism industry, will be intensified, among other measures.
