The Port of Cadiz Bay currently has 330 cruise ship calls scheduled for 2023. This forecast does not include the stops of the luxury mini-cruise ship Belle de Cadix, which makes around forty calls a year.
If the forecasts are met, the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz (APBC) would be facing a new historical figure in this traffic, since the current record is 323 calls in 2018.
In terms of seasonal distribution, spring and autumn continue to be the months with the highest cruise activity, although an increase is also expected in the summer months.

It is worth noting that in 2023, as has happened this year, several ships will again be scheduled to stay overnight in the city, about ten in total. Likewise, a similar number will be making their first port of call.
As a major new development, it is also expected that one of MSC's cruise ships will offer the Port of Cadiz as a partial embarkation port.
The economic impact of cruise ships is especially significant on the surrounding area. According to the latest study conducted by the Andalusian Regional Government on cruise tourism in the region, the average expenditure per cruise passenger per day in a port of call is €40.60, and can reach up to €200 in the case of a home port.
