Silversea, the Royal Caribbean Group's ultra-luxury cruise and expedition travel company, is introducing some new features for this spring.
The first is the launch of its new ship, the Silver Ray, the second ship of the innovative Nova class, which is now beginning its final phase of construction before its debut in the Mediterranean next June.
This ship boasts pioneering energy efficiency standards and is a modern vessel offering new interior spaces and a variety of suite options, new Otium wellness experiences, and enhancements to the SALT culinary program. This new ship will enter service in June 2024 and spend its inaugural season in the Mediterranean, offering incredible voyages before crossing the Atlantic in December.
The second new feature is Silversea's new pricing structure, which offers "the luxury of choosing" between three different fare options depending on guest preferences:
The Door-to-Door All-Inclusive Fare is Silversea's most popular fare option, featuring a trip that begins and ends at guests' homes. This includes private transfers between their homes and the airport, international flights with Business Class upgrades available at discounted fares, hotels, full board and beverages, butler service, gratuities, onboard Wi-Fi, shore excursions, and more, making it one of the most competitive and comprehensive all-inclusive fares in the industry. This fare also includes cruises around the world, from expedition cruises like the Galapagos Islands cruise to exotic voyages in Southeast Asia or Africa, as well as Arctic and Greenland cruises, with a Spanish-speaking host throughout the journey, or closer to home, in the Mediterranean or Northern Europe.
- fare is an ideal option for those who prefer to make their own pre- and post-cruise travel arrangements but still want all the onboard amenities and shore excursions included. A wide variety of cruises are included in this fare, from Mediterranean and Southeast Asian cruises to exotic cruises in Africa and the Indian Ocean, Alaska, Antarctica, Australia and New Zealand, the Caribbean, and expedition cruises—more than 1,000 options to choose from worldwide.
- Fare Essential is the new travel-only fare option that features all the amenities and services included on board, on a selection of upcoming voyages, while giving guests the flexibility to arrange their own transfers and shore experiences at each destination. Thirteen expedition cruise departures and 58 other cruise departures are available for this fare, visiting destinations around the world.
The third new feature is spring promotion offering a 20% discount on select all-inclusive Door-to-Door or Port-to-Port voyages aboard their fleet of boutique all-suite ships for all bookings made before April 17, 2024. Cruises included in this promotion include the following:
- From Venice to Piraeus (Athens) aboard the new Silver Ray, departing on July 8, 2024 and lasting 11 nights, visiting destinations in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece.
- From Lisbon to Lisbon aboard the Silver Moon, departing on November 2, 2024, with visits to destinations in Portugal, Tangier or Casablanca in Morocco, Gibraltar, Cartagena or Malaga in Spain, La Goulette in Tunisia, Malta and Syracuse or Palermo in Italy, on a 20-night trip.
