Norwegian Cruise Line is now accepting reservations for two new inaugural Mediterranean cruises aboard Norwegian Aura™. These voyages, made possible by the ship's anticipated early delivery, will offer guests the first opportunity to sail on the company's newest and largest vessel, beginning May 2, 2027.
The Norwegian Aura 's inaugural cruises include a 10-day itinerary from Trieste (Italy) to Athens (Piraeus), departing on May 2, 2027, and a nine-day itinerary from Athens (Piraeus) to Trieste, departing on May 12, 2027.
The 10-day itinerary will include stops in Dubrovnik and Split, Croatia; Bar, Montenegro; and Corfu, Santorini, and Mykonos, Greece. The nine-day cruise will visit Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, and Corfu, Greece; Bar, Montenegro; and Split and Zadar, Croatia.
Together, these new voyages will allow passengers to be the first to discover the Norwegian Aura during its inaugural season and visit some of the most outstanding destinations in the Mediterranean.
"The early delivery of the Norwegian Aura allows us to welcome our passengers ahead of schedule and begin offering unforgettable vacation experiences in advance," said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.
"As our largest and most innovative ship to date, Norwegian Aura has been designed to bring together families and travelers of all generations, with greater freedom, choices, and ways to enjoy a tailor-made vacation, so no one has to compromise on the experience they want. We are thrilled to open bookings for these inaugural Mediterranean cruises and look forward to welcoming our first guests and introducing them to the ship's new entertainment, dining, and wellness offerings, as well as its innovative family experiences."
The Norwegian Aura will be the largest and longest ship built to date for NCL, with a length of nearly 1,130 feet (about 344 meters) and a gross tonnage of approximately 170,000 tons. It will be 10% larger than the Norwegian Aqua® and the Norwegian Luna®.
Among its main new features is Ocean Heights™, an outdoor activity complex unlike anything seen before in the company's fleet, which will extend between decks 18 and 21. This space will include the Eclipse Racers competitive water slides, the first of their kind in the NCL fleet; Aura Free Fall, a free-fall water slide; an 82-foot (approximately 25-meter) ropes course; the Moon Climber obstacle course; Aura Midway, with carnival games; and specific areas for children, teenagers, and families.
The ship will also feature NCL's largest pool deck to date and the company's largest Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only space.
