Scenic Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Armstrong as Chief Commercial Officer, effective November 1, 2026. Based in Scenic Group's office in Zug, Switzerland, Adam will lead the group's global commercial organization for its Scenic, Emerald Cruises & Tours and Mayflower brands across all its international markets.
Adam brings over 20 years of international management experience in the travel and cruise sectors. Most recently, he served as Global CEO of Contiki Holidays, where he led the company through the challenges of the pandemic and subsequently repositioned the brand for its next phase of growth.
Prior to joining Contiki, Adam was Managing Director of Royal Caribbean Group in Australia and New Zealand, and subsequently Managing Director of Silversea Cruises in the Asia-Pacific region, where he gained extensive experience in business strategy, sales, marketing, revenue growth and brand development.
“Adam has a strong track record leading international businesses, building high-performing teams, and driving growth,” said Glen Moroney, president and founder of Scenic Group. “His experience in both the cruise and travel industries, combined with his global business acumen, will be a great asset as we continue to expand our portfolio of luxury ocean, river, and travel brands.”.
“I am delighted to join Scenic Group and return to the cruise industry,” said Adam Armstrong. “Scenic Group has an extraordinary platform for continued growth, with exceptional products and a wide variety of new ships and destinations to be added in the coming years. I look forward to working with Glen and joining the global commercial team to drive the group into its next phase.”.
Adam's appointment follows the recent additions of Sture Myrmell as Chief Operating Officer and Riko van Santen as Chief Information Officer, further strengthening Scenic Group's global management team as the group enters its strongest growth phase in decades.
