Virgin Voyages continues to expand its presence in Europe and has announced its first cruise season in Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea for the summer of 2028, a major expansion of its offerings that will feature the Valiant Lady, with Amsterdam as the company’s new home port.
The cruise line, which specializes in exclusive adult-only cruises, will introduce six new itineraries starting in July 2028, allowing its passengers to discover some of Northern Europe’s most attractive destinations during the summer season.
This new itinerary marks another step forward in Virgin Voyages' geographic growth strategy, which has so far focused on the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and, more recently, Alaska.
The Valiant Lady, with a gross tonnage of 110,000 metric tons, will kick off this new phase, operating out of the Dutch capital.
The choice of Amsterdam as a home port marks a new milestone in Virgin Voyages’ port expansion strategy. Thanks to its excellent air and rail connections and its status as one of Europe’s main gateways, the city offers an ideal starting point for itineraries through Scandinavia and the Baltic region.
