Regent Seven Seas Cruises has unveiled details of the new Solara Sports Deck and the spacious Solara Pool Deck, two of the most innovative spaces on the Seven Seas Prestige™, which is scheduled to enter service in December 2026.
These new spaces, designed in collaboration with SMC Architects, represent a new vision of outdoor leisure, combining sports activities, wellness and relaxation in a luxurious environment with panoramic ocean views.
The Solara Sports Deck, located on deck 14, will be the first sports deck in Regent's history to have its own distinct identity. Situated at the ship's highest point, it will offer an elegant and dynamic atmosphere where guests can enjoy a regulation-size paddle tennis and pickleball court with ocean views; an 18-hole putting green; the fleet's first sunrise and sunset yoga area; and the debut of a digital gaming system with two Conductor Supercharged Shuffleboard courts.
The deck has been designed to fully integrate with the aesthetics of the Seven Seas Prestige. Instead of traditional sports nets, the space incorporates wooden structures, architectural panels, integrated planters, and thoughtfully placed seating areas.
As night falls, LED lighting installed around the play areas will transform the deck into an elegant social space for playing sports or stargazing.
At the stern of the ship there will be a covered social pavilion where passengers can participate in informal tournaments of digital shuffleboard; mini-bowling; chess; baggo (sack toss game); indoor table tennis.
The space will also feature comfortable built-in benches to promote relaxation and socializing.
For those seeking a more relaxing experience, Regent will unveil its first outdoor wellness space, offering stretching sessions and yoga classes at sunrise and sunset.
The new Solara Pool Deck, located on deck 12, will be the ship's main pool area and will extend the "Unrivaled Space at Sea®" concept that characterizes Regent.
The area will feature numerous sun loungers; an innovative two-level sunbathing platform design inspired by Explorer-class ships; a large swimming pool approximately 14.6 meters long by 8.8 meters wide (48 x 29 feet); and two jacuzzis located next to the pool.
Just steps from the pool you will find several dining options:
- Solara Pool Grill, a casual restaurant with artisanal pizza.
- Solara Pool Bar, where premium drinks will be served as part of Regent's "all-inclusive" concept.
From the upper pool deck, located on deck 14, passengers will have direct access to two of the ship's specialty restaurants:
- Pacific Rim, Regent's renowned Asian restaurant.
- Azure, a new restaurant that will debut with a gastronomic proposal based on Mediterranean cuisine in the mezze style.
Matt Fyvie of SMC Design explained the philosophy behind the project: “When designing the Solara Sports Deck and the Solara Pool Deck, we wanted to combine outdoor sport with the elegance of a boutique hotel. We used high-quality materials, such as high-performance composites and wood-effect flooring, combined with sophisticated furnishings to create a warm and intimate atmosphere. The lighting, carefully integrated into the architecture, ensures that the experience is equally appealing both day and night.”
The Solara Sports Deck will remain open 24 hours a day and will offer a program of activities that will include sports tournaments and wellness classes.
All these facilities will be available from the Seven Seas Prestige's maiden voyage, scheduled for December 2026, when the new ship will begin a new era for Regent Seven Seas Cruises as the first ship of a new class in ten years.
