Windstar Cruises is ramping up the excitement in two of its most sought-after regions—Alaska and Japan—with summer 2027 voyages aboard its new all-suite yacht, Star Seeker. Designed for exploration, this small yacht for 224 passengers offers private balconies and picture windows in most suites, expansive decks ideal for viewing glaciers and wildlife, and standout spaces like the new Basil + Bamboo.
On Alaska cruises, guests will enjoy breathtaking close encounters with glaciers, while Japan itineraries will offer a deeper cultural immersion, including a new Mystery Cruise and an exclusive Destination Discovery Event.

The Star Seeker takes guests to glacier level in Kenai Fjords, Tracy Arm, or Endicott Arm, and out in front of the towering granite cliffs of the picturesque Misty Fjords. It's small enough to reach Wrangell, where Indigenous heritage thrives, yet spacious enough for wildlife viewing from its open decks.
Passengers can kayak alongside icebergs or explore in Zodiacs, departing directly from the yacht's Marina platform. Expedition guides enrich the experience with storytelling, lectures, and guided hikes. Cruise Tours combine the Alaskan coast with overland trips to Denali National Park.
In Japan, guests will sail from iconic ports like Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Kyoto to smaller ports such as Karatsu and Takamatsu, where udon-making workshops and tea ceremonies await. In Tomonoura, Windstar guests will explore Edo-period streets with exclusive access to cultural treasures: live koto music, samurai sword demonstrations, tea ceremonies, calligraphy workshops, and private entry to historic residences.
Windstar's Mystery Cruise — now in Asia: Adventurers can embark in Hokkaido and disembark in Osaka, with each port revealed only days beforehand. It includes new ports in South Korea and can be combined with the Greater Japan for a 21-day voyage.
