Royal Caribbean 's seventh Oasis-class ship is officially underway. Construction of the revolutionary new vacation vessel began at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, with a steel-cutting ceremony.
It's cause for celebration that Royal Caribbean has reached the first of many milestones with the cutting of the first piece of steel for the next member of the revolutionary Oasis Class line of ships that redefined the industry for the first time more than a decade ago. The new ship, whose name will be revealed soon, is now officially on track for its 2028 debut.
The steel-cutting ceremony at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France brought together representatives from Royal Caribbean and Chantiers de l'Atlantique to commemorate the moment alongside the innovation teams, naval engineers, architects, designers and more who work to bring number seven to life.
