The president of the Port Authority of Seville (APS), Rafael Carmona, has presented the new program of visits to the Seville port museum and port facilities; as well as the cruise offer for 2025.
The president of the APS has highlighted the port as "a tourist asset in itself and part of the city's cultural and leisure offering, which enriches Seville's identity with its industrial heritage and offers new perspectives through its maritime-port legacy.".
To this end, the Port Authority, in collaboration with the company Engranajes Culturales, has launched a “wide program of activities that includes visits to the Port Museum and the port facilities, from Monday to Friday and on weekends; as well as recreational activities for all audiences related to the maritime and port tradition of Seville,” the president highlighted.
During his address, Rafael Carmona also announced the cruise ship calls for 2025 , which “will number around 90,” including all the calls by the Belle de Cadix, which is based in Seville. The cruise season will begin in March with the arrival of a classic ship, the Azamara Quest, and will end in November with the arrival of the Corinthian. In addition, the expedition cruise ships Seabourn Venture, in March, and Hanseatic Spirit, in April, are scheduled to make their first calls in Seville.
Regarding the duration of the dockings, the president highlighted that “almost all of the stops in 2025, close to 90%, will be overnight in Seville; of which, more than half of the cruises will spend two nights in the city.”
“These positive figures consolidate Seville as a very attractive destination for the high-end cruise market, a sector that increasingly seeks unique, deeper and more complete experiences that allow cruise passengers to enjoy all the cultural, gastronomic and leisure offerings of the city,” the president continued.
To enrich the cruise passenger experience, the president has announced that “we are finalizing a mobile application, Guadalquivir Experience, to learn on board about the main historical, cultural and natural landmarks of the voyage, as well as information of interest about the destination.”
