Alma Cruises has appointed David Medina as its new Director of Onboard Operations. With over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry and 17 years leading onboard cruise ship teams, David Medina brings a global perspective and extensive experience in managing maritime operations and guest experiences.
Aninternational career in the cruise industry
David Medina, originally from Huelva, holds a degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Data Management from the Polytechnic University of La Rábida and a Master's degree in Tourism Business Management. He began his career in the hotel industry, holding various positions, and since 2008 has worked on board cruise ships of different sizes and from various companies, including megaships with over 3,000 guests on classic itineraries, as well as exclusive expedition cruises to the most remote corners of the planet.
With experience sailing all the world's oceans and having visited more than 100 countries, David Medina is fluent in five languages and possesses in-depth knowledge of maritime operations and onboard team management. His ability to lead in multicultural environments and his commitment to excellence make him a key figure in the growth and consolidation of Alma Cruceros as a leader in the boutique cruise industry.
