Celestyal has announced a new investment in its fleet with the latest refurbishment plans for the company's newest ship, the Celestyal Discovery. The upgrades include the addition of 47 cabins, increasing the total number of cabins by 7.4% to 680.
The new staterooms will include two 'Grand Horizon Suites' with spacious balconies and a unique location above the bridge. These suites will feature a new design style that will vary depending on the homeports each season. Also being added are 30 new 'Junior Dream Suites', a new stateroom category, and 15 spacious interior staterooms called 'Cosmos Cabins'.
Following the example of its sister ship, the Celestyal Discovery will feature the 'Smoked Olive' restaurant as an exclusive dining space for all suite guests. The refurbishment will also include an additional pop-up restaurant with a private, reservable area, offering upscale regional cuisine inspired by the ship's itinerary destinations.
In recognition of the increase in premium cabins, the company has also announced a significant enhancement to its premium cabin offerings across its fleet. In addition to priority check-in, the benefits now include a range of amenities, such as a 'Sail Away' welcome party for all balcony and suite guests, a pillow menu, daily cocktails at a special time, and exclusive access to Ray's Sundeck and Cabanas, a private terrace reserved for guests of the 'Grand Dream' and 'Grand Horizon Suites'. On the Celestyal Journey, Grand Suite guests will also receive complimentary access to the Thermal Spa Suite, which includes a private Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and a private relaxation area. Guests of the 'Stargazer Penthouse Suite' will also enjoy an unlimited minibar within their suite.

All the upgrades will be available on the Celestyal Discovery from April 2025, and the new cabins will go on sale from December 10, 2024. The three-night 'Iconic Aegean' cruise departs from Athens on November 21, 2025, with stops in Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, and Santorini.
The Celestyal Discovery underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment in Greece after its acquisition in November 2023. The company invested in the onboard common areas, in addition to the complete renovation of the cabins and the addition of a new coffee bar, the Café Nation, as well as the Pizza Oven pizzeria and the Discovery Lounge.
