Costa Cruises presents a new feature that will provide more experiences on family cruises in the Mediterranean.
These are new proposals designed for younger passengers and their families with experiences both on land, thanks to excursions tailored for them; and on board, thanks to attractive entertainment activities related to the excursions.
The shore experiences are available in the main destinations of the Western Mediterranean – Savona, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Naples, Palermo, Cagliari, Barcelona, Valencia and Marseille – and will create “ship-to-shore” experiences with pre and post excursion activities, curated by the entertainment team of the “Squok Club” and the “Teens Club”, Costa's onboard clubs for the youngest guests.
The program includes two main options, the first designed for boys and girls aged 3 to 13 accompanied by family members, while the second is reserved for boys and girls aged 14 to 17.
The experiences planned for the little ones, accompanied by their families, will allow them, for example, to explore Palermo with its most emblematic markets in search of the ingredients for the most famous Sicilian dessert, the "cannolo", and at the end of the experience on land participate in a cooking class in the gastronomic laboratory on board.
These proposals are designed with a relaxed pace, and include moments of fun and play, but also moments to rest and "refresh", to allow the whole family to fully enjoy the experience.
For young guests aged 14 to 17, the program includes experiences to satisfy their desire for adventure, fun, but also autonomy, as they will be able to participate on their own, together with their peers, under the supervision of Costa's animators.
From photo tours to discover the street art in the streets of Marseille, to activities like surfing and paddleboarding on the coast of Cagliari; or a stroll through Naples to discover its most iconic corners. Or a trek to the Grotta dei Falsari (Cave of the Counterfeiters), near Savona, or an experience in Palermo on the 'Lisca Bianca', a small sailboat with an incredible history, where children can sail safely while learning the main sailing maneuvers.
The new family program also includes various onboard entertainment activities, designed to create continuity with the tours in the different destinations, in order to offer a themed experience throughout the day.
In the Squok Club Hall of Fame and the Teen Zone, young people will have the opportunity to submit their most memorable photos and record the best moments experienced during their onboard vacation and excursions.

All Costa ships offer dedicated kids' clubs, open every day of the cruise from 9 a.m. to midnight. Membership is free and included in the cruise price.
The clubs are divided by age groups, with reserved indoor and outdoor areas: for the youngest there is the Squok Club, named after the mascot 'Squok', a bit of a shark and a bit of a dolphin; while teenagers have the Teens Club at their disposal.
