By 2025, Tauck will offer a range of river and small ocean cruises with new itineraries, increased company capacity on the Seine River, and the first Tauck River Academy for travel agents.
On smaller ocean cruises, Tauck will introduce two new itineraries: “Aegean Journey: Istanbul to Athens” and “Rome, Amalfi Coast, and Sicily.” The 14-day “Aegean Journey: Istanbul to Athens” begins with an included three-night stay at the InterContinental Istanbul Hotel and an in-depth exploration of the city.
After boarding Windstar Cruises' Star Legend, which accommodates up to 312 passengers, guests will enjoy an eight-day cruise with stops in Lemnos, Mykonos, Kusadasi, Bodrum, Santorini, and Itea before disembarking in Piraeus. The itinerary concludes with an included two-night stay in Athens at the Hotel Grande Bretagne, along with guided city tours led by Tauck.
Highlights of this two-week trip include an exclusive Tauck dinner with live music under the stars in ancient Ephesus, guided tours of Athens, including the Acropolis and the National Archaeological Museum, a guided tour of the archaeological site of Delphi (a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 8th century BC), a Bosphorus cruise in Istanbul, and a selection of excursions on Lemnos, a hidden gem of the Aegean. Tauck will operate six departures of the new itinerary in 2025, in April, September, and October.
The new 12-day itinerary “Rome, Amalfi Coast and Sicily” begins in Rome with a two-night stay in a hotel and guided tours by Tauck.
Next, a seven-day cruise aboard a Ponant Explorer class ship (Le Dumont d'Urville or Le Bougainville), with shore excursions to Amalfi, Trapani, Palermo, Taormina, Syracuse and Gozo.
After disembarking in Valletta (Malta), guests will enjoy a two-night stay in a city hotel, which will be complemented with sightseeing tours of Tauck.
The experiences included in the trip are visits to private palaces in Palermo and the temples of Ggantija. Located on the island of Gozo, the temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and predate the Egyptian pyramids.
Other highlights include an optional visit to Schiavi Castle (a private villa featured in The Godfather) and a farewell dinner in Valletta at the historic La Sacra Infermeria, formerly a hospital of the Order of the Knights of St. John. Tauck will operate six “Rome, Amalfi Coast and Sicily” sailings in May, June, September, and October 2025.
In total, Tauck will operate 20 ocean cruise itineraries on small ships next year aboard 18 vessels in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Antarctica.
A new river route
On the rivers of Europe, Tauck will present a new itinerary for 2025, “Romantic Capitals: Paris to Prague”.
The 14-day trip begins in Prague with two nights at the Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel, followed by a nine-day river cruise from Regensburg to Trier along the Upper Danube, the Main-Danube Canal, the Main, the Rhine and the Moselle.
Guests will then travel overland to Luxembourg for a walking tour of its capital before boarding a train to Paris, where their journey concludes with a two-night stay at L'Hotel du Collectionneur.
The itinerary includes a private evening with reception and dinner at the Schlosshotel Kronberg, a visit to the Nürburgring circuit, a private boat trip on the Seine, and an underground walking tour of Prague.
Tauck will offer 10 "Romantic Capitals: Paris to Prague" departures from April to October of next year, with departures aboard its riverboats ms Savor and ms Joy.
Next year, Tauck's 110-meter-long riverboat ms Esprit will also be relocated to the Seine River, following its 2024 sailing season on the Rhine and Danube rivers.
The first Tauck River Academy for travel agents
Tauck's river cruise plans for 2025 also include the first Tauck River Academy training event for travel agents, which will take place on October 6, 2025, during the 10-day "Three Rivers: Danube, Main and Rhine" cruise aboard the MS Joy.
Tauck has organized a series of Tauck Academy events to promote the company's entire product portfolio.
