Regent Seven Seas Cruises has welcomed the Seven Seas Grandeur to Barcelona, the sixth ship to join the world's most luxurious fleet.
The new ship was designed by Studio DADO and built by Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy, in just over two years. With a staff of 548 and a maximum capacity of 746 guests, Seven Seas Grandeur will offer one of the highest staff-to-guest ratios and spaces in the industry, providing unparalleled space, impeccable service, captivating onboard art, and unique experiences.

After sailing the Caribbean waters these past few months and making two transits through the Panama Canal and the East Coast of the United States, the Seven Seas Grandeur crossed the Atlantic from New York to Barcelona in April to explore itineraries in the Mediterranean during the summer season.
Thus, on April 24th it set sail from Barcelona to Palma and from there to Sete, on the French Riviera, making stops in Saint Tropez, Monte Carlo, Livorno to make immersive excursions in the Italian Tuscany before arriving in Rome, Taormina in Sicily, Valletta in Malta and beginning the return to Spain, stopping in Palma de Mallorca, Valencia and back to Barcelona on May 8th.
The Seven Seas Grandeur offers 15 categoriesofaccommodation, ranging from 29 square meters to 412 square meters, the Regent Suite being the largest at sea. The room designs evoke a residential feel and classic luxury, taking full advantage of the meticulously planned use of natural light.
The onboard cuisine will be overseen by Senior Executive Chef Michael Meyep, along with a dedicated team that includes the industry's top chefs, sommeliers, and service professionals. Furthermore, the culinary experience will be enhanced with captivating and reimagined designs for the signature restaurants Compass Rose, Prime 7, Chartreuse, and La Veranda.
For guests looking to expand their culinary skills, the ship's Culinary Arts Kitchen offers hands-on classes, special demonstrations, and more, in a professional-level culinary teaching facility run by highly experienced chefs.
Seven Seas Grandeur will also house a 1,600-piece art collection, whose Pièce de Résistance will be a custom-designed masterpiece: Journey in Jewels, the first Fabergé egg to reside permanently at sea. In addition, the ship will debut Regent’s first digital art tour, Art Experience, which will be available through Regent’s new mobile app.
Also included are multiple works by Picasso; a custom-made, hand-cast bronze and glass Bonsai Cherry Tree sculpture that will welcome guests to the Asian fusion restaurant Pacific Rim; and “The Enchanted Tree,” a 12-meter-high hand-woven tapestry by world-renowned Brazilian artist Walter Goldfarb.
