Neil Palomba, new executive vice president of operations at MSC Cruises USA

Neil Palomba has been appointed executive vice president of operations for MSC Cruises USA, while Josef Jungwirth has been appointed vice president of food and beverage operations.

“As a testament to our continued growth in the US and our focus on delivering an exceptional onboard experience, we are delighted to welcome Neil Palomba and Josef Jungwirth to our US operations team,” MSC stated.

Neil Palomba will lead the operations function for the line's US-based vessels and the Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

He held several positions between 1996 and 2013 at MSC Cruises, including Director of Operations in Fort Lauderdale for MSC Cruises USA between 2006 and 2010, and subsequently moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he led multiple corporate functions.

Most recently, Neil Palomba was President of Costa Crociere in Genoa (Italy) and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Carnival Cruise Line in Miami (Florida).

Josef Jungwirth will assume the role of Vice President of Food and Beverage Operations for MSC Cruises USA, reporting to Neil Palomba. He brings over 25 years of experience in food and beverage operations.

Previously, Jungwirth worked 11 years as Corporate Executive Chef at Sandals Resort International and 14 years at Royal Caribbean International, where he oversaw the development of the company's annual business objectives for culinary operations.
