Explora Journeys is offering a new collection of unique Destination Experiences in the Mediterranean for 2024, further expanding its offering ahead of the inaugural Mediterranean season of EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II.

With a selection of experiences available for EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II, these trips are designed to immerse travelers in the history and culture of the Mediterranean spirit.
Among the new Destination Experiences, the following stand out:
- Rovinj, Croatia: Truffle Hunting in Istria
Travelers will have the opportunity to delve into the world of truffles amidst the unique landscapes of Istria. Guests can join an old Istrian truffle-hunting family on a truffle hunt in their private forest, accompanied by specially trained dogs. To enhance the magic of this experience, guests can sample artisanal truffle-based products and explore the medieval town of Motovun, taking in panoramic views of the Mirna River valley.
- Casablanca, Morocco: Invigorating Hammam and lunch in a historic palace
Guests will visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Africa, and enjoy a traditional hammam with clay from the Atlas Mountains. Afterward, they will savor a sumptuous lunch in a historic palace located in the heart of Casablanca's medina, where they will taste refined Moroccan cuisine in an exquisite setting.
- Mykonos, Greece: Vineyards and villages of Mykonos
An experience where travelers can discover a different side of Mykonos and venture to a family-owned organic vineyard. There, they will learn about biodynamic winemaking and taste a selection of wines paired with local delicacies, immersing themselves in the sights, sounds, and flavors of Greece before returning to the ship in the afternoon.
- Malaga, Spain: Secrets of Granada
Travelers can delve into Granada's hidden gems, from the Albaicín neighborhood's vibrant culture to the Sacromonte's Roma community. Wandering through winding cobbled streets, savoring delicious local food and drinks, and immersing themselves in the history and energy of this unique Spanish city will create an unforgettable experience.
- Livorno, Italy: Lucca by bike and picnic on the walls
Guests will be guided on a leisurely bike tour through the city, immersed in its medieval charm within the ancient walls. Highlights include visits to iconic landmarks such as the Romanesque Cathedral of San Martino and the oval Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, built on the foundations of a Roman amphitheater. A Tuscan-style picnic atop the walls will precede a visit to the local boutiques, cafes, and shops.
- Brindisi, Italy: The Trulli of Alberobello and the resplendent Ostuni
In Alberobello, travelers will visit the iconic traditional dry-stone huts with corbelled roofs, known as Trulli. After sampling the local gelato, guests can explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site before enjoying lunch at a Trulli restaurant. A 45-minute drive will then take them to Ostuni, the ancient “white city” overlooking the Adriatic, followed by a guided tour before returning to Brindisi.
Guests can now book Destination Experiences. EXPLORA I will be in the Mediterranean from June until early December 2024, and EXPLORA II will embark on its maiden voyage from Barcelona to Civitavecchia (Rome) on August 11, 2024, sailing the Mediterranean until November before moving on to the Caribbean.
The brand has extended its “Total Luxury Offer” until April 30, 2024, so guests can benefit from additional perks such as onboard credit, extra experiences, and savings on their trip.
