Phoenix Reisen has recently expanded its fleet with the acquisition of a new river cruise ship built by the Croatian shipyard Vahali Shipyards. The vessel, named Alisa, is owned by Rijfers Nautical Management, based in the Netherlands, and is operated by Phoenix Reisen under a charter agreement, with technical management provided by Rivertech, a sister company of Rijfers Nautical.
The new ship has a length of 135 meters, a beam of 11.4 meters, a draft of 1.6 meters, a crew of 50 people and capacity for a maximum of 190 guests in 96 cabins - with areas of between 12 and 17 square meters - spread over two decks.
The interior spaces are notable for their use of lightweight materials to ensure reduced fuel consumption. As an additional energy-saving measure, LED lighting is used throughout the interior. There is also a shore power connection to cover some of the electrical power needs while the vessel is docked.
The engines generate only minimal vibration and noise and are equipped with systems to help reduce emissions.
The bridge can be raised or lowered so that the ship can easily navigate underneath the bridges.
The Alisa sails along the Rhine, Main, Danube and Moselle rivers with four and seven day itineraries.
