Holland America Line will sail the first-ever round-trip “Pole to Pole” Grand Voyage from the United States in 2025. Gus Antorcha, President of Holland America Line, announced the details of this new 133-day voyage aboard the Zuiderdam to passengers on the Grand World Voyage sailing in the North Sea, along with a simultaneous 124-day Grand World Voyage in 2025.
With the Grand Voyage: Pole-to-Pole and Grand World Voyage, both departing in January 2025, Holland America Line will offer two Grand Voyages of more than 120 days simultaneously for the first time. The Grand Voyage: Pole-to-Pole aboard the Volendam allows cruisers to visit five continents on a south-to-north journey, while the Grand World Voyage aboard the Zuiderdam covers six continents on an east-to-west route, each conveniently sailing round-trip from a homeport in the United States.
“These will be a pair of truly historic voyages,” Antorcha told the guests. “Our Grand World Voyage travels east to west, and our other Grands focus on a single region, so designing this route that explores the world from south to north and back from the U.S. is an incredible way to give our guests two different options for traveling the world.”

From April 20, travelers interested in the 2025 Grand Voyage: Pole-to-Pole or 2025 Grand World Voyage can call the Holland America Line World Cruise Reservations Desk or a travel advisor to submit a Future Cruise Request, which will give them priority booking confirmation before voyages officially open to the public on May 24, 2023.
On April 24, 2025, the Volendam and the Zuiderdam will meet in Barcelona, Spain, for a joint overnight stop, bringing the two Grand Voyages together for a celebration. Special parties with the participation of both ships will mark the occasion of this perfectly planned double visit.
