The Sun Princess will be the company's largest ship, accommodating 4,300 guests and featuring stunning views, innovative entertainment areas, multi-story restaurants, and superior cabin accommodations.
Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard and scheduled to be launched in February 2024, the 175,500-ton vessel is the largest Princess ship ever built. It embraces Italian heritage with the iconic Piazza and the new, unique "The Dome," a state-of-the-art entertainment space inspired by the terraces of Santorini. The Sun Princess will also feature the exclusive Princess Medallion, further solidifying Princess's leading position in providing exceptional, personalized experiences.
The Sun Princess will make an inaugural Mediterranean season in spring/summer starting in February 2024, followed by Western and Eastern Caribbean voyages from Port Everglades (Florida) in the fall of 2024.

Innovative guest experience
The ship connects guests with dynamic views of the world and innovative experiences, with more than 29 dining and bar options. The Piazza spans three decks, forming an architectural feature that offers guests a suspended outdoor space with comfortable seating and areas to enjoy panoramic ocean views. At the center of the Piazza is a movable LED screen that can be configured to offer live entertainment programs. Adjacent to the Piazza's atrium will be a new café, Coffee Currents, alongside Princess classics such as the Crooners Bar, Bellini's Cocktail Bar, and Alfredo's Pizzeria.
The other standout structure aboard the Sun Princess is “The Dome.” Inspired by the terraces of Santorini, it’s a multi-level deck and the first glass dome ever built on a cruise ship. By day, “The Dome” features an indoor/outdoor pool and a unique water feature, creating a comfortable and relaxing space. By night, the pool transforms into a stage, and “The Dome” becomes a vibrant entertainment venue with a South Beach vibe, state-of-the-art lighting effects, and the capacity to host breathtaking aerial shows.
The ship's overall interior design embraces the exterior and celebrates the romance of the sea, offering views from morning till night. With brighter décor and finishes, the Sun Princess offers more memorable locations for admiring the stunning destinations and the azure waters than any Princess cruise guest has ever experienced.
New cabins and suites
With a total of 2,157 cabins, including 50 suites and 100 connecting rooms, the 21-deck Sun Princess will have more space for balconies, and all accommodations with balconies will also have a sofa in the room.
Also launching exclusively on the Sun Princess is a new suite level of accommodation, the Signature Collection. In addition to the amenities of the premium staterooms, Signature Collection suites include access to the Signature Restaurant, the Signature Lounge, and the Signature Sun Deck, a private area of The Sanctuary.
The Club Class accommodations aboard the Sun Princess, and all other Princess ships, will be renamed Reserve Collection, which are the most luxurious mini-suites. Within the Reserve Collection will be the Reserve Collection Cabana suites, resort-style staterooms featuring a balcony and a private cabana, an outdoor relaxation space. These premium accommodations also include access to the Reserve Collection restaurant.
The Sun Princess is part of Carnival Corporation's green cruising approach and is one of 11 new ships in the corporate fleet powered by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) technology.
A second new-generation Sphere-class vessel has been ordered from Fincantieri, and its delivery is scheduled for spring 2025.
