Norwegian Cruise Line is returning to the Canary Islands this winter, offering itineraries that take advantage of the winter sun aboard the Norwegian Sun, adding to the company's diverse offerings in Europe, which include more embarkation ports and a wider variety of destinations for 2022. NCL's extensive range of European itineraries in 2022 includes voyages to the Greek Islands, the Norwegian Fjords, the Mediterranean, and the Canary Islands.
A total of nine NCL ships are offering European itineraries this summer, giving guests more choice than ever before, including Norwegian Prima, the newest ship in the NCL fleet, which will debut in Iceland in August 2022.
The Norwegian Sun returns to Europe from Miami at the end of the year, offering cruises to the Canary Islands ranging from 10 to 14 days, starting November 21st. Escape the winter and enjoy the eternal spring of these fortunate islands. Itineraries will feature various embarkation ports, including Lisbon, Malaga, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as well as new destinations for the cruise line, such as Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura), San Sebastian de la Gomera, Ceuta, Agadir (Morocco), and Horta (Azores).
The scheduled itineraries include an average of twelve hours in port, with overnight stays in Lisbon (Portugal), Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas (Gran Canaria), and Casablanca (Morocco). In addition, some cruises include overnight stops in locations where passengers can enjoy a vibrant nightlife, such as Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Funchal (Madeira).
The Norwegian Sun features a program of itineraries that visit the Canary Islands and all or some of the following ports: Málaga, Cádiz, Ceuta, Santa Cruz de la Palma, San Sebastián de la Gomera, Puerto del Rosario, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas, and Arrecife (Spain); Agadir and Casablanca (Morocco); Gibraltar (United Kingdom); and Lisbon and Funchal (Portugal). The planned itineraries are as follows:
- Spain, Morocco and Portugal from Malaga, a 14-day tour visiting 13 ports
- Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar from Malaga, 11 days and visits to 9 ports; 10 days and 8 ports of call; or 14 days and 10 ports of call.
- Spain and Portugal from Malaga, 2 days and 3 ports of call
- Spain, Morocco, Portugal and Gibraltar from Malaga, a 9-day trip visiting 10 different destinations
- Spain, Morocco and Gibraltar from Lisbon, an 11-day trip with stops in 10 ports
- Spain, Gibraltar and the Canary Islands from Lisbon, 14 days and 10 ports of call; or 10 days and 8 ports of call
- Gibraltar and the Canary Islands from Lisbon, an 8-day trip visiting 7 ports of call
- Spain, Gibraltar and the Canary Islands from Lisbon, an 11-day trip visiting 9 different destinations
- Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands from Lisbon, an 18-day trip visiting 13 ports of call
- Spain and Morocco from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 11 days and 10 ports; or 8 days visiting 9 ports
- Spain and Portugal from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 13 days visiting 11 ports of call; 10 days and 8 ports; 11 days and 9 ports; 13 days and 10 ports of call; or 12 days and 9 ports.
