The Star Pride, a Star Plus class yacht from Windstar Cruises, sets sail from Athens on an eight-day voyage to Barcelona, with stops in ports including Gythion, Corfu, Argostoli, Messina (Taormina), Trapani, and Cagliari. The Star Pride is the third and final Star Plus class yacht from Windstar to be launched from the Italian shipyard Fincantieri after a complex refurbishment project.
Now, the line's six yachts are back on the water, requiring vaccinations for all passengers and crew among a range of health and safety precautions. The line's three Star Plus-class yachts (Star Breeze, Star Legend, and Star Pride) underwent
major refurbishments, with an investment of more than $250 million. Star Breeze was the first to be launched in June 2021, and Star Legend the second in September 2021, showcasing new suites and expanded indoor and outdoor public spaces. The yachts are also more environmentally friendly with new, efficient engines, generators, and advanced wastewater treatment systems.
The three yachts increased their maximum capacity from 212 guests to 312 and offer additional dining experiences such as outdoor barbecue with grilling guru Steven Raichlen or the Spanish restaurant of Anthony Sasso, one of the youngest chefs to be recognized by the Michelin Guide, a real spa and fitness center, an elegant infinity pool and more outdoor deck areas.

The three yachts, along with Windstar's three classic sailboats, remain small enough to continue visiting the world's small ports and special waterways.
