Guests aboard Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines ships will have the opportunity to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in style, starting aboard the "royal" ship Balmoral next week.
Daytime activities include Corgi Racing; Victoria biscuit and "platinum pudding" competitions among the fleet's expert cooks; a traditional British version of Afternoon Tea; special-themed cooking demonstrations and real quiz competitions, among other activities.
These celebrations complement an enrichment program onboard designed to showcase each port of call, with scenic weekend trips to the Scottish islands and the Faroe Islands. These cruises depart from Liverpool, Belfast, and Newcastle.

In keeping with the celebrations taking place across the UK, a big party will be held on board Thursday and Friday, featuring live music, games, and activities. All of the company's ships will be decorated with Union Jack pennants and red, white, and blue decorations, and there will be plenty of special events to enjoy the Jubilee spirit on board.
The Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines cruises that will be celebrating the Jubilee are as follows:
- The Balmoral's five-night 'Scenic Orkney and Shetland' cruise, departing from Newcastle on June 1, 2022.
- Borealis' six-night 'Exploring the Scenic Faroe Islands' cruise departs from Liverpool on June 3, 2022 (departures are available from Belfast on June 4).
