The Port of Ceuta will receive two new cruise ships at the Muelle España dock this week, on May 10 and 11: the 'Aurora', with 1,300 passengers on board, and the 'Seven Seas Splendor', with more than 500 cruise passengers.
The first ship, the 'Aurora', handled by MH BLAND, arrives with 1,300 cruise passengers, mostly Americans, Germans, and Britons, as well as a crew of nearly 800. It arrived at 8:00 a.m. from the Port of Vigo and departs at 6:00 p.m. bound for Valletta, Malta. Belonging to the P&O fleet, this large vessel has previously made other stops in the Port of Ceuta.
The 'Seven Seas Splendor', belonging to the Regent Seas company, will call at Ceuta the following day, Wednesday, May 11. It will arrive at the port at 8:00 a.m., handled by Global Agency, with more than 518 passengers on board, mostly Americans and Italians, as well as a crew of nearly 500 people of various nationalities. Having sailed from the Port of Malaga, it is scheduled to depart at 9:00 p.m. for the Port of Cadiz.
Passengers on both cruises will be able to take different excursions around the city, organized by Ceuta Tourist Services.
With this week's arrivals, the Port of Ceuta will have now received three cruise ship calls this cruise season, bringing a total of 3,300 tourists to our city. This confirms the Port of Ceuta's positive outlook for resuming its usual cruise ship calls, a return to normalcy already seen in other ports such as Malaga and Barcelona. It also confirms the effective work of the commercial efforts of the responsible department at the Ceuta Port Authority, in conjunction with Ceuta Tourism Services, as well as the investments made in the Muelle España (Spain Wharf) to accommodate these ships and receive their tourists, who, during their stay in the city, will contribute to the growth of our tourism and economy.
