Málaga is the first European port to be visited by Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas, arriving from the Atlantic. The ship docked on April 30 at 8:00 a.m. with 3,600 passengers on board and departed for its next destination around 6:00 p.m.

To mark this special visit, representatives from the port and the destination, including the president of the Port Authority, Carlos Rubio, the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre and the delegate of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía, Nuria Rodríguez, presented a commemorative plaque to the ship's captain at a reception held at the foot of the dock.
