Virgin Voyages has announced the name of its fourth cruise ship, the Brilliant Lady, which will join the company's fleet, consisting of the Scarlet Lady, the Valiant Lady and the Resilient Lady, in 2023. The Brilliant Lady is being built in Italy by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri.
“First came Scarlet Lady, a name chosen in honor of one of Virgin Atlantic’s flagship aircraft. Then came Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady, two sister ships with names that celebrate the strong, fierce, and independent spirit of women. These beautiful ships are helmed by two beautiful and diverse matching mermaids,” the company said in a press release.
Regarding the name of its new ship, Virgin Voyages stated: “Like its three previous sister ships, we have been very careful in choosing its name, ensuring that the name not only represents her, but also the values and beliefs that we hold dear.”
“Brilliance—which means both radiance and exceptional talent and intelligence—was chosen intentionally because of the duality of its meaning. On every voyage, Virgin Voyages’ ultimate goal is to leave our passengers with a glowing review and having enjoyed one of the best vacations of their lives.”.

Virgin Voyages' new 110,000-gross-ton ship will be able to accommodate around 2,700 passengers. Following the same model as its other ships, the Brilliant Lady will also be an adults-only vessel.
Details and itineraries for the Brilliant Lady, scheduled to debut in 2023, will be revealed soon.
