Azamara will unveil its newest ship, Azamara Onward, to the world next month with a christening and maiden voyage from Monte Carlo to Venice. Azamara Onward's inaugural season will take travelers to the heart of the Mediterranean, exploring its hidden gems and immersing guests in the authentic culture of each destination they visit.
“This is an exciting time for Azamara, and we are thrilled to welcome guests on our new ship in just a couple of weeks,” says Carol Cabezas, President of Azamara.
Travelers sailing with Azamara Onward in spring and summer will be able to enjoy the following new features:
– New onboard venues showcasing innovation and authenticity: A new addition to the Azamara family, and exclusive to Azamara Onward, is the Atlas Bar, a venue specializing in innovative handcrafted cocktails created with the latest techniques; its specialty restaurant, Aqualina, with a new Chef's Table.
– Luxury souvenirs for an unforgettable trip: The world leader in luxury holiday merchandise at sea offers a curated assortment of travel clothing and accessories, along with local artisan products for guests on board; or a standalone destination shop featuring products from Spain, Italy, Greece, France and Portugal for Azamara Onward's inaugural season in the Mediterranean.
– Seaside sanctuaries: elegant cabins or spacious suites with butler service. Both offer 24-hour room service and are the perfect retreat after a long day on land.
– Signature shows to keep you moving: four new shows including Club Crooner, featuring classics from Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett to more current artists such as Natalie Cole and Michael Bublé; Amped Up, offering a fun-filled evening of the hottest sounds of classic 70s rock; Wanderlust, highlighting an eclectic mix of sounds from around the world; and Groove Tonight, providing a psychedelic disco soundtrack that's sure to get guests on the dance floor.
In addition, Azamara will expand its orchestra with acoustic and electric guitars and offer local performances on select cruises to give guests a true sense of the destination's cultural entertainment. Azamara will also continue its Destination Celebration onboard events, the cruise line's evening programming that brings the destination's unique culture directly onboard. Following Azamara's inaugural season of Onward in Europe, the cruise company will reintroduce its signature AzAmazing Evenings for guests, bringing these evening cultural events off the ship for an even more immersive destination experience.
