On April 5, 2022, A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH celebrated its 20th anniversary. Exactly 20 years ago, on April 5, 2002, the first two ships of the fleet, A-ROSA BELLA and A-ROSA DONNA, were christened in Rostock.
A-ROSA is celebrating its anniversary aboard its ships with an A-ROSA United event, where guests celebrate with the crew until the early hours. To celebrate with its customers, the company is offering an anniversary voucher with discounts on many of its cruises.
“We look back on the past 20 years with pride,” summarizes operations director Markus Zoepke, who has been on board A-ROSA since 2003. “Two ships on the Danube have now grown to twelve ships in five destinations—and in May, the next member of the family will join us, the A-ROSA SENA.”.
Twenty years ago, the two innovative river vessels A-ROSA BELLA and A-ROSA DONNA were officially named during a double christening ceremony on April 5, 2002, in the port of Rostock. Immediately after the christening, the two 860-ton vessels departed the overseas port of Rostock for the Danube Delta.
In 2022, the 20th anniversary year, a total of twelve A-ROSA ships will sail to five European destinations. In May 2022, they will be joined by the A-ROSA SENA, the most innovative ship in the fleet. Thanks to a hybrid propulsion system with battery storage, it is the most environmentally friendly river cruise ship in Europe.
