The first ship in the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is in the final stages of construction, with the finishing touches being applied to its interior. The hotel company will make its highly anticipated debut in the yachting world soon, once the final touches are completed and the Evrima joins its fleet. The cruise ship will be available next August for its maiden voyage in the Mediterranean.
Two-story lofts, floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies, and high ceilings may seem like features of an ultra-luxury residence in a city like New York or London, but it's actually what awaits travelers who come aboard Evrima, the first ship in The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
The 623-foot Evrima will feature 149 spacious suites with a contemporary design reminiscent of Ritz-Carlton residences in Sunny Isles, Miami Beach, and Los Angeles. In addition to the elegant interiors, all suites boast higher ceilings, creating bright and airy rooms. For families, adjacent suites can be combined to form larger, more open spaces. Signature Ritz-Carlton amenities, such as king-size beds, double-vanity bathrooms, and luxurious linens, will make guests feel right at home at their favorite Ritz-Carlton property.
“Attentive, proactive, and genuine service is a hallmark of our brand and plays a vital role in bringing The Ritz-Carlton experience to the sea. It’s also important to us that our guests feel at home when they stay with us, so the Evrima has been designed to seamlessly blend the lifestyle of one of our resorts with the casual freedom of a cruise vacation,” Donna McNamara, Vice President and Global Brand Leader of The Ritz-Carlton, told Travel + Leisure.
The company will offer onboard experiences as exclusive as the suites. The Evrima's restaurant, SEA, helmed by chef Sven Elverfeld, will offer guests a European tasting menu in a sophisticated setting. The ship's facilities also include a tranquil spa where travelers can indulge in beauty and wellness treatments while enjoying breathtaking ocean views.
The cruise will sail through the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America, with most voyages lasting between seven and ten days. Each itinerary includes a variety of shore excursions led by local guides.
“The debut of Evrima marks an incredibly exciting moment for the Ritz-Carlton brand. Over the past few years, we have carefully expanded and evolved our portfolio, continuing to create the kind of exceptional experiences that the modern luxury traveler is seeking,” said McNamara.
“An important element of that evolution is the extension of our brands,” McNamara continued. “With the launch of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, travelers will be able to experience the brand in a whole new way, and we are thrilled to be the first to offer luxury accommodations both on land and at sea.”.
The hotel company recently announced that it is already working on two more superyachts with the renowned French shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique: Ilma and Luminara, which will set sail in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
