On February 26, AIDA Cruises welcomed the first passengers on the maiden voyage of the AIDAcosma in Hamburg. The seven-day cruise will sail from Hamburg to Southampton and Cherbourg in France. Other stops include Zeebrugge and Rotterdam, before the ship returns to Hamburg on March 5, 2022. AIDA Cruises' new, low-emission liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered vessel arrived in the Hanseatic city on the afternoon of February 25, 2022.
With the AIDAcosma sets sail one of the most innovative cruises, offering exceptional experiences. The beautiful new Ocean Deck spans four decks, providing panoramic ocean views and an infinity pool at the stern of the ship.
The onboard dining options have been further expanded with the new Beach House specialty restaurant, the Brauhaus with its open-air grill and magnificent ocean views, and the Mamma Mia specialty restaurant offering homemade pasta and Italian cuisine. In addition, the AIDAcosma also features the Beach Club, the Theatrium with its 360° stage, a television studio, and the spacious Body & Soul Organic Spa. Food lovers will be pampered onboard in its 17 restaurants and 23 bars and cafés.
The AIDAcosma will visit the Hanseatic city a total of six times. The highlight will be the christening ceremony on April 9, 2022, when athlete Kristina Vogel will ceremonially christen the new ship in Hamburg. Passengers on the 14-day christening voyage from Hamburg to Palma will be able to experience this special event on board.
From April 23 to October 15, 2022, AIDAcosma will offer trips from Palma and Barcelona. The week-long "Treasures of the Mediterranean" itinerary also includes Florence, Rome, and Corsica. In the fall, it will set sail for Dubai.
