Atlas Ocean Voyages has announced that, as a result of current regional tensions, the luxury adventure cruise line is adjusting two Baltic itineraries for late summer 2022. On both the Hamburg to Kiel itinerary, departing August 26, 2022, and the round-trip Kiel itinerary, departing September 7, the World Navigator will depart from St. Petersburg, Russia, and call at Kotka and Mariehamn, Finland. The August 26 voyage includes transiting the Kiel Canal, while the September 7 departure will also add Saaremaa, Estonia, where the World Navigator will dock in the city center next to the medieval Kuressaare Castle.

Launched in August 2021, the World Navigator features 98 suites, single suites at no extra charge, and cabins, and is the line’s first newly built small expedition ship, capable of reaching smaller, more authentic, and exclusive destinations inaccessible to larger vessels. The World Navigator will sail the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and Iceland, Greenland, and the Arctic in summer 2022; Central and South America in autumn; and will return to Antarctica for its 2022-23 winter season. Atlas’s second ship, World Traveller, will set sail in November 2022, with three more sister ships—World Seeker, World Adventurer, and World Discoverer—joining the fleet through 2024.
