The Crystal Endeavour has been named “Best New Expedition Ship” at The Points Guy (TPG) Awards. The annual awards are based on the opinions of TPG’s editors, some of the most experienced writers and editors in the travel and hospitality industry.

The highly anticipated Antarctic season of the luxury expedition yacht begins on November 18 with the first of eight round-trip voyages from Ushuaia, ranging from 11 to 19 nights, to explore the incredible wildlife of this remote icy wonderland, including the Antarctic Peninsula, the Weddell Sea, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and the lands beyond the Antarctic Circle. Complimentary round-trip airfare between Ushuaia and Miami is also included, along with stays in luxury hotels in both cities.
Gene Sloan, TPG's senior cruise and travel writer, who sailed on the Crystal Endeavour in September, commented that the ship "stands out for us here at TPG particularly when it comes to luxury travel," stating that it "brings a new level of luxury and service to the niche." Sloan was especially impressed with the Crystal Endeavour's specialty dining options, noting that the restaurants feature "gorgeous interior design, sophisticated menus, and elegant, impeccable service.".

“We designed the Crystal Endeavour to take expedition cruising to a whole new level, and this award is a wonderful validation of those efforts,” said Carmen Roig, Crystal’s senior vice president of marketing and sales. “And while the Crystal Endeavour itself is a game-changer, what truly makes it stand out is our incredible Crystal Family on board, including an experienced expedition team, who take our guests on unforgettable journeys to some of the most remote and scenic places in the world.”
With capacity for 200 guests in 100 well-appointed suites, the 20,200 GRT Crystal Endeavour has been specially built and designed for Arctic and Antarctic voyages, with superior operation, safety and performance in polar conditions, with a Polar Class 6 (PC6) rating, featuring German engineering focused on power, reliability and meticulous craftsmanship.
With a gross tonnage of 100 tons and 10,000 cubic feet per guest, and a passenger space ratio of over 100, it boasts the most space per guest of any ship at sea. Luxuriously designed to offer discerning travelers elegantly spacious private and public areas, the ship features butler-serviced suites, among the largest and most spacious on expedition cruise ships. The one-to-one staff-to-guest ratio ensures the personalized and genuine service for which Crystal is renowned.
Crystal's signature touches enhance the onboard guest experience and can be found throughout the ship: Michelin-inspired dining options, including Umi Uma, the first and only Japanese restaurant on an expedition ship; fine Italian cuisine at Prego; 24-hour room service and an optional Vintage Lounge experience; the only casino on an expedition yacht; a two-story, glass-enclosed sundeck—home to the Seahorse Pool and Jacuzzi—offering panoramic views from sea to sky; and the full-service Crystal Life Salon & Spa with a state-of-the-art fitness center; as well as a wraparound promenade deck, an iconic Crystal design element. Expedition-specific amenities include high-tech enrichment spaces, designated mudrooms, an Expedition Lounge, and even the option to explore in a two-person submersible.
Crystal continues to lead the way in its response to COVID-19 with its Crystal Clean+ protocols based on the latest data and recommendations from health experts. The company was the first major cruise line to require COVID-19 vaccination for both guests and crew in 2021 and is now the first until 2022.
