The port of Vigo welcomed nearly 5,000 people aboard two cruise ships, the “Spirit of Adventure” and the “Regal Princess.” This marks the first time both vessels have visited the Port of Vigo. To commemorate the occasion, the president of the Vigo Port Authority, Jesús Vázquez Almuiña, visited the Transatlantic Pier this morning, where he participated, along with the captain of the “Spirit of Adventure,” in the traditional exchange of plaques.
The ship, belonging to the Saga Cruises shipping company, arrived at 7:00 a.m. from Cádiz and is scheduled to depart for Southampton (United Kingdom) around 5:00 p.m. During its stay in Vigo, it carried a total of 763 passengers and 522 crew members.
The “Regal Princess” docked at approximately 7:30 a.m., arriving from Funchal, Portugal, and is scheduled to depart for Southampton, UK, at approximately 4:00 p.m. The ship, belonging to Princess Cruises, brought a total of 2,406 passengers and 1,196 crew members on board.
