Tillberg Design of Sweden has been selected for the master planning and interior concepts of the residential yacht Somnio.
Tillberg worked closely with the client to develop optimal flows and bespoke designs to enhance both the passenger experience and operational efficiency. During the development process, various apartment sizes were created, and to achieve an authentic yacht-like atmosphere on board, materials such as wood, leather, and unique textile designs were selected.
Captain Erik Bredhe said, “Somnio will be the only residential yacht in the world and has been designed to exacting standards befitting a lifetime of opportunity. We are delighted to be working with Tillberg Design of Sweden.”.
Described in the industry as the first “transatlantic yacht”, Somnio will be built to meet the highest future hygiene and safety requirements, and owners will have access to world-class medical and healthcare services.
The 39 apartments are already on sale, and the purchase of one is strictly reserved for clients by invitation or recommendation. The ship will feature a 10,000-bottle wine cellar, luxurious restaurants and bars, and an onboard beach club with water sports facilities when its construction is completed in mid-2024.
The owners of Somnio remain anonymous at their express wish.
