Explora Journeys, the luxury cruise brand belonging to the MSC Group, will be represented in Spain and Portugal by Un Mundo de Cruceros and its luxury brand StarClass Cruceros, which will offer all travel agencies the possibility of starting to market the four new ships that Explora Journeys will build between May 2023 and 2026.
The four vessels will be built by Fincantieri; the first will set sail in May 2023, and the remaining ones will be delivered in 2024, 2025, and 2026. All will feature the latest cutting-edge maritime technology, enabling exploration voyages to both new and familiar ports.
Passengers will enjoy a ship like no other, with the highest level of service and comfort. The first of the new ships, EXPLORA I, will be launched in May 2023, and reservations are now being accepted on the waitlist. Sales will open in September 2021
The innovative and elegant EXPLORA I will accommodate approximately 900 passengers served by a crew of 640, one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in the cruise industry. Fourteen decks will provide ample indoor common space while maximizing passenger privacy. The generous outdoor decks will boast over 2,500 square meters of oceanfront space, with 64 private cabanas surrounding three outdoor pools. A fourth pool, with a retractable glass roof, will allow for swimming and relaxation in any weather. In addition, there are several indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis on the promenade deck, as the ship has been designed with water as a focal point to help passengers achieve a state of mind directly connected to the ocean.
The 461 Suites on board, elegantly designed by a team of prestigious designers, are divided into:

- 22 Ocean Residences
- 67 Penthouse Suites
- 371 Ocean & Terrace Suites of 35m2, of which 7m2 are on Private Terrace
- In addition, 82 of the suites will be interconnected
With voyages starting at 7 nights, the passenger experience will guarantee relaxing mornings and exciting nights. Unconventional arrival and departure times, combined with overnight stays in port, will allow Explora Journeys to offer passengers exclusive access to unique experiences.
The 2023 EXPLORA I itineraries begin with an 8-night inaugural voyage on May 17, 2023, between Barcelona and Athens. This will be followed by a series of sailings in the Mediterranean, Fjords and Baltic Sea, British Isles, Iceland and Greenland, Canada and the US East Coast, the Caribbean, South America, Alaska, and Hawaii.
