Silversea Cruises marks its healthy return to global operations today with the maiden voyage of its new flagship, Silver Moon, from Athens (Piraeus). The Silver Moon's launch also represents the debut of SALT, the cruise line's highly anticipated culinary program. Meanwhile, the maiden voyage of Silversea's new expedition ship, Silver Origin, departs from San Cristóbal in the Galápagos Islands tomorrow. Silversea's first destination-specific ship will sail entirely new itineraries in the archipelago.
Silversea's healthy return to service, fleet expansion, and enhanced cultural offerings reflect the company's commitment to international market growth, while meeting the rising demand from ultra-luxury travel consumers after a year-long hiatus.

Departing from Athens (Piraeus), Silver Moon will offer 10-day itineraries in the Greek islands, providing guests with luxurious ocean-view suites, exquisite dining, and personalized service, with a near 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio. Silver Origin welcomes travelers to the Galapagos Islands with year-round, ultra-luxury expedition voyages, offering balcony suites, the highest ratio of expert guides to guests in the Galapagos (1:10), and the highest ratio of Zodiacs to guests (1:12.5) in the region, as well as the usual Silversea amenities. Silver Origin is Silversea's first destination-specific ship and one of the most energy-efficient in its class.
The debut of Silversea Sea and Land's pioneering culinary program, Sea and Land Taste, or SALT, invites guests to enjoy immersive culinary experiences to taste the authentic cultures and traditions of each region visited.
Taking advantage of Silversea's healthy return to service worldwide, Silver Muse will set sail for Alaska from July 29, while Silver Shadow will circumnavigate Iceland from July 30.
