MSC Cruises is placing the MSC Splendida in the Eastern Mediterranean this summer with a 4-country itinerary

This weekend, MSC Splendida became the latest MSC Cruises ship to restart summer voyages with its 7-night itinerary to the enchanting landscapes of the Eastern Mediterranean from the port of Trieste in northern Italy.

The itinerary includes stops in Ancona, Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Bari, Italy; the Greek island of Corfu and Kotor in Montenegro and Split in Croatia before the ship returns to Trieste with boarding available at each of the Italian ports.

Ancona has recently been added to the itinerary to enrich the passenger experience with the opportunity to discover the capital of the picturesque Italian region of "Marche" on the Adriatic Sea.

This is a particularly attractive travel option for Spaniards already planning their summer holidays, as MSC Cruises has launched direct flights connecting Barcelona and Madrid with Venice. The company has also released two vacation packages for passengers to explore these gems of the Eastern Mediterranean: the All-Inclusive Flight Fare, with unlimited drinks, and the Basic Flight Excursion Fare, with three excursions available.

Fernando Pacheco, CEO of MSC Cruises, says: “The resumption of MSC Splendida’s operations in the Eastern Mediterranean is another piece of good news as we return to the seas. It is vitally important for us to welcome Spanish passengers back on board our ships and to be able to gradually offer them those well-deserved holidays aboard our fleet.”.

To facilitate the arrival of Spanish passengers to the ship, the company will offer convenient flights to Venice from Barcelona and Madrid with transfers included. Additionally, for those who choose to book only the cruise, the cruise line will provide four daily transfers from Venice Marco Polo Airport and one from the city center to the cruise terminal in Trieste, offering a convenient service for everyone. Transfer prices will be €25 per person, each way.

Furthermore, the route will attract passengers from across the Schengen area of Europe, especially from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, given the relative ease of land transport links for boarding in Trieste.

MSC Splendida offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars and lounges, four swimming pools, a fully equipped gym and a luxury spa, activities and award-winning family facilities, as well as the MSC Yacht Club area, which houses 71 spacious suites and personalized 24/7 butler service.

MSC Splendida is the fifth ship in the company's fleet to resume cruise holidays this summer. MSC Grandiosa and MSC Seaside sail in the Western Mediterranean, MSC Orchestra operates in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the flagship MSC Virtuosa sails in the UK exclusively for British passengers.

The ship will be supported by MSC Cruises' industry-leading health and hygiene protocol, which has already protected tens of thousands of passengers, as well as crew members and local communities visited by the Company's ships, since it was first introduced in August 2020 on MSC Grandiosa.

MSC Magnifica will resume its voyages on June 20 from Italy, sailing itineraries in the Eastern Mediterranean. Meanwhile, MSC Seaview will restart operations on July 3 from Kiel, Germany, sailing the Baltic Sea to Sweden and Estonia, followed by MSC Seashore, sailing for the first time in the Western Mediterranean at the end of July.
