Silversea Cruises has announced new summer voyages to Alaska and Iceland, beginning in July 2021. With the approval of tourism in Alaska, the Silver Muse will resume its round-trip voyages from Seattle starting July 29, making Silversea the first ultra-luxury cruise line to operate in Alaska this summer.
The Silver Shadow will circumnavigate Iceland with the launch of new all-Icelandic itineraries, returning to Northern Europe with three 10-day trips from Reykjavik, starting July 30.

The Silver Muse will set sail on round-trip voyages from Seattle as the first ultra-luxury cruise ship to visit Alaska this summer, following a variety of 10- and 11-day itineraries. These extended voyages will allow Silversea guests to travel to some of Alaska's most breathtaking ice formations, including Sawyer Glacier and Mendenhall Glacier, and experience the scenery, wildlife, and remote communities of Ketchikan, Juneau, Wrangell, Skagway, and Sitka. At each Alaskan destination, a wide array of experiences are available, such as taking a helicopter tour in Juneau to experience Mendenhall Glacier from the air, before hiking across this immense ice formation with a tour guide who will share their glacier expertise.
Silversea Cruises previously announced its largest collection of Iceland voyages as part of its 2021/2022 itinerary. Scheduled for this summer, the round-trip voyages from Reykjavik include stops in Grundarfjordur, Isafjordur, Siglufjordur, Akureyri, Husavik, Seydisfjordur, and Heimaey Island. Circumnavigating a land of breathtaking natural beauty and geological wonders aboard Silversea’s intimate and ultra-luxurious Silver Shadow, passengers will have the opportunity to marvel at volcanoes and glacier-carved fjords, hike through lava fields, witness magnificent waterfalls and bubbling hot springs, and much more. During Silversea’s Iceland voyages, passengers will enjoy shore excursions included in the fare. Highlights include a half-day excursion from Akureyri, during which travelers will discover Iceland's vast lava fields, bubbling hot springs, hissing fumaroles, stunning waterfalls, and world-renowned birdlife; a breathtaking puffin-hunting excursion from Grundarfjordur, where travelers will board a small boat before sailing to an island famous for its large colony of nesting Atlantic puffins; an off-road adventure from Heimaey, where travelers will witness the spectacular beauty of the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago and the Eldfell volcano; an unforgettable 4x4 glacier safari with a visit to an ice cave; and an authentic journey into Icelandic herring tradition in Siglufjordur with a tasting.
The Silver Muse and Silver Shadow are among the most spacious and luxurious ships at sea. Both feature ocean-view suites, personalized butler service, and sumptuous cuisine served in multiple restaurants. To enhance the cruise experience, all-inclusive services are offered, including round-trip economy flights (or air credit); pre- and post-cruise hotel nights, subject to Silversea's flight schedule; transfers and baggage handling; premium wines and spirits, specialty coffees, bottled water, juices, and soft drinks served on all ships; in-suite bars stocked according to guests' preferences; complimentary 24-hour in-suite dining; onboard gratuities; and unlimited, complimentary Wi-Fi.
With Silversea's flexible booking policy, guests who book before August 31, 2021, can cancel their cruise up to 30 days before departure for all voyages (except World Cruises) through April 30, 2022, without penalties when selecting a Future Cruise Credit.
All guests and crew will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before boarding the Silver Muse in Alaska and the Silver Shadow in Iceland, as part of Silversea's comprehensive set of protocols.
