Croatia's Directorate General of Civil Protection has announced its decision to allow cruise ships to call at Croatian ports, lifting previous capacity restrictions, effective March 1, 2021. After a year-long ban due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cruise ships can now sail to the country's ports.
By implementing all the health protocols and measures established in “Stay safe in Croatia”, the new national safety label of the Ministry of Tourism and the Croatian National Tourist Office, whose highest priority is the safety of guests and workers in the tourism sector, the health and safety of passengers, crew and visited communities will be protected.
The established guidelines include the regular use of masks in common areas, social distancing, cleaning and disinfection of spaces and equipment, and temperature control, among others.
