P&O Cruises will offer a series of short, week-long UK cruises as a "final getaway" for the summer. The cruises will go on sale at the end of March.
P&O Cruises Chairman Paul Ludlow said: “Following the recent government announcements and as the vaccination program rolls out globally, we can all begin to feel a sense of reassurance and hope that this current period of lockdown in the UK will soon be over. We look forward to life gradually returning to normal, as summer holidays can be booked with confidence.”.
“Although UK holidays will be the first to become a reality, we will gradually see the return of international travel, but first we want guests to be able to enjoy a real summer holiday at sea with the best in relaxation, entertainment and dining options.
These voyages will depart from our home port in Southampton and sail along the UK's coastal waters, soaking up the summer sun. Further details regarding dates, prices, and the onboard experience will be announced later this month, but of course, all will be flexible so customers can book with confidence.

“In order to offer these UK getaways, we unfortunately have to cancel some of our published holiday programs for this summer. The Arcadia, Aurora, Azura, and Ventura cruises have been canceled until the end of August, and the Britannia and Iona cruises until the end of September.”.

All guests whose cruises have been cancelled will automatically receive a Future Cruise Credit worth 125% of what they paid. This 125% Future Cruise Credit can be redeemed against any new booking made until the end of December 2021, on any cruise on sale at the time of booking. Alternatively, a 100% refund is available and can be requested until December 2021.
