“Norwegian Central”, Norwegian Cruise Line’s new platform to support travel agents

Norwegian Cruise Line launches Norwegian Central, an innovative platform designed to support partners in selling cruises more easily and with comprehensive support in the Spanish market. This platform also offers essential services such as virtual training and direct access to the cruise line's booking engine, all through a single login.

Another benefit is that Norwegian Central gives travel agents direct access to useful information for their client meetings, such as a summary of all CruiseNext certificates still active for their clients. The same applies to all Future Cruise Vouchers (FCCs) that clients have received from NCL for suspended or canceled cruises as part of the Peace of Mind commitment.

At the same time, the platform allows direct access to the “Book Norwegian” booking engine, with which travel agents can both generate new bookings and manage existing ones, and the innovative NCL Air booking platform, which offers even more flexibility and choice when booking flight and cruise packages.

Furthermore, the recently updated NCL University (NCLU) online training program offers courses, new performance levels, and a new discount program that allows agents to earn up to 30% off their private bookings upon reaching successive learning levels, which can be combined with current promotions. Additionally, Norwegian Central includes a link to a marketing platform called Marketing Headquarters, where travel agents can download materials such as promotional toolkits and videos, among other resources.

In the coming years, NCL will have a stronger presence in Europe than ever before: a total of eight ships will be based on the European continent, the company's largest offering in the region to date. One of the most innovative itineraries will be set aboard the Norwegian Jade in March 2023, when, for the first time, Norwegian Cruise Line will visit the ancient city of Nessebar, Bulgaria, on one of its Extraordinary Voyages. This nine-day round-trip journey from Athens (Piraeus), Greece, through the Mediterranean and the Black Sea includes a variety of ports of call with no days at sea, allowing travelers to explore a new city each day. The cruise line also invites guests to explore Northern Europe with a series of itineraries from May to October 2023, including round-trip Baltic voyages on the Norwegian Getaway from Copenhagen, Denmark, featuring an overnight stay (a total of 36 hours in port) in the fascinating cultural gem of St. Petersburg, Russia. Calls will also be made in Warnemünde, Germany; Tallinn, Estonia; Stockholm, Switzerland; and Helsinki, Finland.

“In line with our ‘Partners First’ philosophy, our top priority this year has been to provide our partner travel agencies with the support they need. We will continue working to strengthen this strategy. We are seeing strong demand for NCL cruises, fortunately for this year as well, but especially for 2022 and 2023. We want to equip agents with the best possible tools to meet this demand even more easily and seamlessly. With Norwegian Central, we have consolidated all our most important tools in one place, accessible simply by logging in,” explained Kevin Bubolz, Managing Director Europe of Norwegian Cruise Line.
