Crystal Endeavour, the German-built ship designated by PC6 for the Crystal Expedition Cruises, is set to debut in the summer of 2021. Originally scheduled for launch in August 2020, construction was delayed due to the global health crisis that forced the closure of the MV Werften, where Crystal Endeavour is currently being built. The shipyard has fully reopened this year and resumed work on the ship.

Crystal has cancelled all Crystal Endeavour voyages until May 1, 2021, and is currently reviewing its published summer itineraries. Exciting upcoming destinations planned for the Crystal Endeavour include the Norwegian fjords and Scottish islands, France, Spain and Portugal, the Atlantic islands and West Africa, Brazil and Argentina, and Antarctica.
Genting Hong Kong (GHK), Crystal's parent company, recently completed a €193 million loan agreement with the German government for the completion of the Crystal Endeavour and to support the shipyard's operations until March 2021.
The Crystal Endeavour will sail through some of the world's most remote areas, where wildlife far outnumbers human life and rugged landscapes dot the waterline. The ship will offer three dedicated exploration categories: Remote Expedition, visiting some of the most remote and uninhabited destinations; Cultural Discovery, distinguished by its emphasis on the region and its people; and Destination Exploration, highlighting the natural wonders and beauty of the destinations.
The 20,000 GRT expedition ship PC-6 will accommodate only 200 passengers, featuring elegant and spacious public areas designed to showcase the surrounding scenery; balcony suites with butler service; six dining options, including Master Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's Umi Uma & Sushi Bar; the full-service Crystal Life Salon & Spa; and a state-of-the-art Fitness Center. Expedition-specific amenities and spaces will enhance the passenger experience, including enrichment areas, a helicopter lounge, and a seven-person submersible, enabling deep-water explorations to depths of up to 980 feet in various parts of the world.
